Lower Schuylkill River

The Lower Schuylkill River KOEZ consists of three distinct sections. They are 1) 285 acres of vacant land along Passyunk Avenue in West Philadelphia, 2) 30 acres of vacant land and buildings at Grays Ferry Avenue and the Schuylkill River and 3) vacant land along Eastwick Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia.

1) This 285 acre sub-zone consists of two mega sites on opposite sides of the Schuylkill River, both owned by Sunoco. One is 75 acres and the other is 200 plus acres. The smaller site's southern boundary extends to 67th Street. The river, railroad tracks and a portion of the Grays Ferry community border the larger site. Both are zoned for heavy industrial use.

2) The vacant land and buildings around Grays Ferry Avenue and the Schuylkill River include four large parcels, two of which abut the river.

3) Smaller parcels of vacant land and property, most from one to three acres extend West along Eastwick Avenue from 58th Street to 61st Street. A larger parcel, at 56th Street and the river is the site of 14-acre, former U.S. Gypsum plant.

This KOEZ location is ideal for the company needing quick access to a range of transportation modes. I-76, I-95, Amtrak’s 30th Street Rail Station and the Philadelphia International Airport are all just minutes away.
